She graduated cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University, with a degree in American Studies. She was discovered by a talent scout at the age of five and appeared in commercials and plays.
Her best-known roles include: Olivia Taylor in 24: Twenty Four (season 7) – as the daughter of fictional US President Allison Taylor; Heather Lisinski in Jericho – one of the main roles in the post-apocalyptic series; Donna Winston in Sons of Anarchy – wife of Opie Winston; Kristi Rey in Paranormal Activity 2 and 3 – central character in the horror film series.
