Flávia Alessandra Martins da Costa (Rio de Janeiro, June 7, 1974) is a Brazilian actress and lawyer of Portuguese descent. Famous for her characters Sônia, in História de Amor, Dorothy, in A Indomada, Lívia, in three soap operas: Meu Bem Querer, Porto dos Milagres and O Beijo do Vampiro, the obsessive villain Cristina, from Alma Gêmea, a character in which was highly awarded, the comical van Vanessa in Pé na Jaca, the sensual pole dancer Alzira, in Duas Caras, the romantic Dafne, from Caras & Bocas, the robot Naomi, in Morde & Assopra, Erica in Salve Jorge, the villain Sandra in Êta Mundo Bom! and Helena in Salve-se Quem Puder. Flávia was married from 1992 to 2002 with director Marcos Paulo, with whom she had her first daughter, Giúlia Martins Simões, born on February 25, 2000.
