Born January 2, 1986 in Canakkale, Turkey (age 40)
He completed his Fine Arts education in Canakkale. During his student years, he started writing for various local newspapers and literary magazines. Ahlat Agaci, which is a part of his book "Bir Üniversitelinin Not Defteri", which he published during his last year at university, was scripted by Akin Aksu, Ebru Ceylan and Nuri Bilge Ceylan.

Shot by Nuri Bilge Ceylan and premiered at the 71st Cannes Film Festival, Ahlat Agaci was released in Turkey on 1 June 2018. He also played the character of Imam Veysel in the film.
Aksu, who worked as a teacher in Erzincan for a while, lives in Istanbul.
He wrote the screenplay for Nuri Bilgi Ceylan's film Kuru Otlar Ustune.
