Explained

What people think about Trauma Center

Trauma Center is the kind of lean, late-night thriller that doesn’t pretend to be more than it is: a tight, nasty little cat-and-mouse ride set in the eerie emptiness of a locked-down hospital. The movie’s secret weapon is Nicky Whelan, who gives the central role a scrappy, grounded toughness that makes the danger feel immediate, while Bruce Willis brings a familiar, no-nonsense presence as the cop racing to close the trap. Director Matt Eskandari keeps the pace brisk and the atmosphere claustrophobic, letting corridors, shadows, and sudden bursts of violence do the heavy lifting. If you’re looking for a smart, twisty mystery you may find it thin, but if you want undemanding, R-rated suspense with a game lead performance, it’s an easy watch.
