Sextuplets is the kind of high-concept comedy that lives or dies on sheer comic commitment, and Marlon Wayans goes all in—playing an entire dysfunctional family of long-lost siblings with a manic energy that keeps the movie hopping even when it gets absurd. The fun isn’t just in the gimmick; it’s in watching a tightly wound, soon-to-be dad get dragged into a chaotic road-trip reunion where every new stop feels like a fresh sketch with its own flavor and attitude. Director Michael Tiddes keeps the pace brisk and the tone broad, mixing crude jokes, slapstick, and surprisingly warm “found family” vibes without pretending it’s anything other than a loud crowd-pleaser. The problem is the movie leans so hard on loud stereotypes, thin sketches, and recycled gags that the story feels like a string of bits rather than something that builds to real momentum or consistent laughs. If you’re not already a fan of Wayans’ anything-goes, TV-14 crude humor and don’t enjoy one-actor-multiple-roles comedies that prioritize mugging over cleverness, this will likely feel like a chore.
