Zita Hanrot gives Samia a lived-in warmth—firm when she needs to be, tender when it counts—and the young cast, especially Liam Pierron, makes the classroom feel like a real, messy ecosystem of talent, fear, bravado, and possibility. The film’s vibe is compassionate and energetic, more about small victories and hard-earned trust than grand speeches, and it treats both students and teachers with empathy instead of easy stereotypes. It does include strong language and some rough edges (drugs, scuffles, sexual material), so it’s not a cozy family watch for everyone—but if you want a funny, humane drama that leaves you believing in people, it’s an easy yes.
