Director Brian Kirk turns a single night in Manhattan into a ticking-clock crucible—slick, tense, and surprisingly sharp about how power protects itself—while the action lands with punchy clarity instead of noisy chaos. The movie’s best trick is its momentum: every lead tightens the net, every conversation feels like it could turn dangerous, and the city itself becomes part of the suspense. 21 Bridges is clearly trying to be a lean, one-night NYC pressure cooker: a tough-cop manhunt that widens into a bigger moral question about who’s really dirty.
