The catch is that the segments are uneven: a couple feel more like message-delivery vehicles than fully lived-in stories, and when you’re not connecting with a character, the “point” can land as predictable or a bit forced. Performances and pacing vary too, with moments that can feel overplayed or rushed rather than naturally provocative. If you want subtle, deeply developed drama, this may frustrate you—but if you’re open to frank adult themes, sharp social observations, and at least one memorably bold comic set-piece, it’s worth sampling.
