House Party (2023)

20231h 40mRComedy

Aspiring club promoters and best buds Damon and Kevin are barely keeping things together. Out of money, down on their luck and about to lose the roofs over their heads—and freshly fired from their low-lift jobs as house cleaners—the pair needs a huge windfall to make their problems go away. In a ‘what the hell?’ move, they decide to host the party of the year at an exclusive mansion, the site of their last cleaning job, which just happens to belong to none other than LeBron James. No permission? No problem. What could go wrong?

Explained

What people think about House Party

House Party (2023) earns its invitation on sheer kinetic, anything-can-happen energy—like a nightclub beat turned into a movie, loud in the best way and determined to keep you smiling. Calmatic brings a music-video snap to the filmmaking, so the night moves fast, the colors pop, and the comedy lands in bursts that feel like great party stories you can’t wait to retell. Jacob Latimore and Tosin Cole make Kevin and Damon an easy duo to root for, scrambling through one bad decision after another with just enough heart underneath the chaos to keep it from feeling empty. Fair warning: it’s proudly R-rated and not shy about raunch, drugs, and nonstop profanity, but if you want a high-volume, high-velocity comedy that knows its job is to entertain, this one shows up ready to work.
