Director X shoots the streets like a high-end music video with a narrative pulse, and Trevor Jackson’s Youngblood Priest carries the film with cool charisma and just enough edge to make his “one last run” feel dangerously plausible. The supporting cast—especially Jason Mitchell and the always-commanding Michael Kenneth Williams—adds bite and tension, while flashes of humor keep the movie from drowning in its own menace. Fair warning: it’s proudly pulpy, very explicit, and drenched in drugs, sex, and violence, but if you want a stylish, crowd-pleasing action-crime ride that moves like it’s got a beat in its bloodstream, this one delivers.

It’s also aggressively adult—constant drugs, heavy violence, and explicit sex—so if you’re not in the mood for that kind of nonstop excess, you’ll tap out fast. If you just want a glossy, loud crime ride with a few sharp moments from the supporting cast and some music-video flair, it’ll do the job; if you want depth, social bite, or a reason to care, look elsewhere.
