The vibe is sleek, unsettling, and sharply observed, a crime-drama where power is the real currency and the most frightening moments arrive without fanfare. It’s not for everyone—there’s explicit sexual violence and the film refuses easy catharsis—but if you can handle its severity, it’s a bold, bracing watch that lingers long after the vacation ends.

Holiday is clearly aiming for an unglamorous, sun-bleached look at power, complicity, and the violence lurking beneath “luxury” crime-life, and it commits to that vision with icy discipline. The problem is it’s so clinically detached that the brutality can feel less like insight and more like endurance, with a voyeuristic edge that many viewers will find punishing rather than illuminating. If you need emotional access to the characters, a sense of catharsis, or even a clear moral framing, this likely won’t be your kind of drama.
