We Need Your Vote wants to be a breezy political comedy about the seductions of campaign life, mixing backroom tactics with a young outsider’s wide-eyed ambition and a dash of workplace attraction. The problem is the storytelling feels muddled, so it’s hard to latch onto Arnaud as a protagonist or care much about where his journey is going.
