Alter Ego wants to be a bold, socially conscious drama about trauma, justice, and the messy contradictions inside a crusading lawyer who hunts sexual predators. The problem is it often feels like it’s juggling too many big themes without giving them the depth they deserve, so the opening rushes, subplots skim the surface, and the message can come off more preachy than powerful.
