Park Hee-kon gives the story real sweep, but the film’s best weapon is its cast: Cho Seung-woo anchors the turmoil with intelligence and wounded conviction, while Ji Sung brings a volatile, magnetic edge to the power games swirling around him. The vibe is moody and stately, more simmer than splash, with intrigue that builds like a storm gathering over palace rooftops. It isn’t for viewers craving nonstop action, but if you like historical dramas with sharp performances and a sense that every hill and burial plot could change history, this one is an easy bet.

Feng Shui wants to be a classy Joseon-era political thriller where destiny, land, and power collide, and it’s got the ingredients: a strong cast, a rich historical backdrop, and an intriguing premise about graves shaping a kingdom. The problem is it often feels like it’s setting up big moves without delivering them, with characters (especially the supposedly elite geomancers) introduced like chess pieces who don’t get satisfying payoffs. The focus can drift into talky plotting and competing factions, so if you’re hoping for sharp momentum or a cathartic revenge arc, you may find it oddly muted. Still, if you enjoy slower period intrigue, atmosphere, and the cultural hook of pungsu guiding politics, it can be watchable—just don’t expect the story to fully cash the checks its concept writes.
