The problem is it feels like a reheated version of better “phone-call-from-hell” movies, with twists you can spot coming and dialogue that rarely sells the panic it’s asking you to feel. The plot keeps piling on complications that start to feel more silly than suspenseful, and the characters—especially the family dynamic—don’t get enough depth to make the emotional stakes land. If you just want Neeson doing competent, stressed-out dad energy in a brisk, contained chase, you might get some mileage; if you need smart plotting and fresh tension, this will likely feel like a long drive to nowhere.
