Serenity (2019)

Serenity is the kind of swing-for-the-fences thriller you don’t stumble across often: a sun-bleached island noir that keeps changing the shape of the mystery right under your feet. Matthew McConaughey leans hard into the role of a haunted fishing captain, and the cast commits with such conviction that even the movie’s wilder turns feel strangely watchable, like a dream you can’t quite shake.
