It’s unflinching and visceral in the best way—less a political lecture than a human collision, where fear, pride, and survival rub raw against each other. If you prefer your thrillers tidy, comforting, or escapist, this may be too intense, but if you want a film that feels innovative, immediate, and impossible to forget, Clash is absolutely worth the ride.

Clash is aiming for a pressure-cooker snapshot of post-Morsi Cairo, trapping clashing political and social identities in a police truck to show how fast a society can fracture. It’s tense and often impressively immersive, but it’s also an unrelentingly grim sit that can feel more like a sustained argument than a shaped drama. If you need fully fleshed-out characters and a narrative that builds to clean payoffs, the film may strike you as sketchy, rhetorically heavy, and a bit incomplete.
