Lars Klevberg keeps the vibe lean and pulpy, mixing teen-party unease with a mystery you can chase, so the movie plays like a fast, sinister campfire story with a modern sheen. Kathryn Prescott makes Bird an easy underdog to root for, grounding the scares in a relatable loneliness and a scrappy will to survive. If you’re looking for elevated, slow-burn arthouse horror, this may feel more like a slick popcorn thriller—but if you want brisk pacing, creepy imagery, and a high-concept curse that keeps tightening the noose, it’s a very fun ride.
