Natasha Kermani directs with a steady, simmering patience—more dread than jump-scares—building a tense, intimate thriller out of family loyalty, public image, and the frightening uncertainty of not knowing what’s true inside your own home. Ray Wise brings a chilling, authoritative presence that turns power into atmosphere, while the story’s “based on true events” backbone gives every revelation an extra sting without resorting to cheap sensationalism. It’s not for viewers craving nonstop action or easy answers, but if you like dramas that tighten into a knot of suspicion and heartbreak, this one pulls you in and doesn’t let go.
