24 Hours to Live (2017)

24 Hours to Live takes a familiar “one last chance” premise and straps a ticking clock to it, turning Ethan Hawke loose in a lean, hard-driving action thriller that rarely lets you catch your breath. What makes it pop is the pulpy, sci-fi edge of its resurrection hook—less about lofty ideas than the grim momentum of a man trying to outrun his own past—while Hawke brings a weary, human bite that sells the redemption angle even when the world gets brutal. The vibe is gritty and nocturnal, full of sharp betrayals, close-quarters violence, and a propulsive pace that keeps the story moving when it could’ve sagged into routine.
