The Hurricane Heist (2018)

Rob Cohen stages the mayhem with a brisk, propulsive energy—guns, generators, flying debris, and desperate improvisation all whipping around the same tight premise—while Toby Kebbell and Maggie Grace ground the madness just enough to keep you leaning in. The vibe is loud, slick, and cheerfully ridiculous in the best way, the sort of film you put on when you want momentum, not meditation. If you’re allergic to implausibility, you’ll roll your eyes; if you can surrender to the concept, it’s deliriously watchable fun.

The Hurricane Heist is clearly aiming for loud, popcorn chaos: a disaster movie and a robbery thriller smashed together, with the hurricane as the ticking clock. The problem is the script is so flimsy and the characters so thinly sketched that the big set pieces end up feeling more like noisy filler than real suspense, and the logic often waves goodbye long before the storm arrives. If you need tight plotting, smart criminals, or anyone behaving like a believable adult, this will test your patience.
