Where Is Kyra? is one of those rare dramas that feels less like a story being told and more like a life being quietly, devastatingly observed, anchored by a fearless Michelle Pfeiffer performance that reminds you what movie stardom can do when it’s stripped of vanity and turned into pure truth. Director Andrew Dosunmu wraps Brooklyn in a hushed, wintry atmosphere—beautiful but unforgiving—where every hallway, storefront, and silence seems to press in on Kyra as her world narrows.
