Pedro Aguilera directs with a cool, formal precision that turns everyday spaces into charged territory, and Ivana Baquero gives Aurora a guarded, magnetic presence that keeps the film from slipping into mere provocation. The vibe is intimate, nocturnal, and psychologically tense, less about twists than about the slow, absorbing toxicity of watching and wanting to know too much. It’s definitely not for everyone—its taboo material and adult explicitness are confrontational—but if you’re drawn to cinema that stares back at the viewer and asks what we’re complicit in, this one lingers.

Sister of Mine is clearly aiming for a provocative, psychologically uneasy thriller about obsession, voyeurism, and the fallout of a taboo discovery, and it doesn’t pretend to be comfortable viewing. The problem is that for a premise this explosive, the film often feels oddly restrained and solemn, circling its shock factor without digging deep enough to land real insight or emotional impact.
