The film’s tone is sober but never hopeless—more a candle in a dark room than a lecture—building urgency as it shows how a system can grind people down and how persistence can push back. It’s not a light watch, and the themes of racism and capital punishment may be heavy for some, but if you want a movie that can genuinely shift your perspective without preaching, this one earns your time.
