Charlie is a charming playboy who doesn't believe in serious relationships. His best friends bet him that if he sticks to one woman for one month, he's bound to get attached. Charlie denies this yet accepts the seemingly easy challenge, until he cross paths with the beautiful and mysterious Eva. They may agree to a casual affair, but eventually Charlie is questioning whether he may actually want more.

Explained

What people think about The Perfect Match

The Perfect Match takes a familiar rom-com dare and makes it feel breezy and surprisingly watchable, thanks to an easygoing charm and a cast that knows how to sell both the jokes and the sparks. Terrence J plays Charlie with enough swagger to be fun rather than exhausting, and the movie’s pleasure comes from watching that confidence get gently, entertainingly tested when a “casual” arrangement starts to reveal a few inconvenient truths. Director Bille Woodruff keeps the vibe glossy, flirtatious, and light on its feet, with just enough warmth and little character beats to give the formula a bit more texture than you might expect. It is definitely a grown-up, R-rated date-night kind of comedy—so if you’re not in the mood for sexual humor and steamy scenes, it may not be your match—but if you are, it’s a smooth, mildly clever ride that earns its sweetness.
