Ghost House wants to be a tourist-nightmare horror story that mixes Thai spirit folklore with a slick, modern jump-scare setup, and on paper that’s a perfectly good hook. In practice, it leans heavily on familiar haunted-curse clichés, predictable beats, and thin character writing, so the tension rarely earns its moments and the “mystery” doesn’t land with much punch. It also flirts with cultural stereotyping, using local traditions more as spooky set dressing than something thoughtfully explored, which can feel tone-deaf rather than eerie.
