Mayhem is trying to be a cathartic, blood-splattered office satire where corporate rage gets literal, and on that level it’s admirably committed: Steven Yeun and Samara Weaving sell the “burn it all down” energy and the action has a scrappy, gleeful streak. The problem is it often stops to explain itself, which drains momentum and makes the dialogue feel more try-hard than razor-sharp, so the chaos doesn’t always build the way you want it to. If you’re expecting tight horror tension or clever, escalating comedy, you may find the pacing choppy and the story beats a bit contrived. But if you can tolerate severe gore, heavy profanity, and some explicit sex for a knowingly trashy, punchy ride with two charismatic leads, it can still hit the spot.
