Director Brad Anderson turns fluorescent hospital halls into a pressure cooker, building dread through uneasy silences, sudden bursts of action, and a mystery that keeps shifting just enough to make you doubt what you saw. Sam Worthington anchors the whole ride with a raw, increasingly frantic performance that makes the desperation feel personal rather than melodramatic, so the suspense lands even when the premise feels familiar. It’s not for viewers who dislike intense, stressful stories or can’t stomach some violence and grim medical imagery, but if you want a tightly wound, twisty night-of viewing that keeps you guessing, it delivers.

Fractured wants to be a paranoid, edge-of-your-seat thriller about a father spiraling as a hospital insists his family was never there, and it does commit to that claustrophobic, “everyone’s against me” vibe. The problem is it leans hard on familiar thriller tricks, so if you’ve seen a few movies in this lane, you’ll likely spot where it’s heading and spend a lot of time waiting for the story to catch up. The pacing can feel repetitive and a bit flat emotionally, with the tension coming more from mounting confusion than genuinely escalating surprises. Still, Sam Worthington sells the desperation well and the setup is gripping enough—just don’t go in expecting a fresh, high-energy mind-bender.
