20151h 30mHorror

While on her bachelorette party getaway, Casey, the bride to be, gets a seemingly harmless bite from an unknown insect. After returning home with cold feet, Casey tries to call off her wedding but before she's able to, she starts exhibiting insect like traits. Between her physical transformation and her wedding anxiety, Casey succumbs to her new instincts and begins creating a hive that not only houses her translucent eggs, but feeds on the flesh of others. As her transformation becomes complete, Casey discovers that everything can change with a single bite.

Explained

What people think about Bite

Bite is the kind of horror movie that earns its title one queasy, ingenious moment at a time, delivering old-school, hands-on body horror with a confidence that’s rare in low-budget genre fare. It takes a familiar pre-wedding jitters setup and twists it into something sticky, intimate, and relentlessly “can’t-look-away,” where the practical effects don’t just shock you—they tell the story through texture, transformation, and escalating dread. The vibe is grimy and claustrophobic, the sort of midnight-movie nightmare that feels like it’s crawling under your skin and setting up shop. If you’re squeamish or prefer your horror clean and tasteful, this one will test you, but for fans of creative gore and truly icky metamorphosis, it’s a small film with a big, nasty imagination.
