For a while, it works: Beth Riesgraf sells the trapped-in-your-own-house panic, and the early cat-and-mouse setup has a nasty little pulse. The problem is the film leans hard on gore and escalation once the twisty “secrets in the house” angle kicks in, and it starts to feel repetitive and more interested in shock than in landing its psychological ideas. If you’re hoping for smart surprises or a tight third act, you may leave annoyed, but if you can tolerate ugliness and just want a mean-spirited, contained thriller with some solid performances, it might do the job.
