Sota Fukushi’s Ren isn’t just a “perfect” idol figure; he’s patient, conflicted, and human, and the film treats the emotional stakes with surprising maturity instead of cheap melodrama. If you’re looking for big twists or a sharper edge, this may feel too soft-spoken, but if you want a romance that lingers like a favorite song you can’t stop replaying, it’s an easy one to fall into.

Strobe Edge is aiming for a sweet, soft-focus first-love story about timing, longing, and the messy ethics of liking someone who’s already taken.
