Lazer Team (2016)

Lazer Team is special because it feels like a bunch of scrappy underdogs got handed a real sci-fi toy box and decided to play with it at full volume, delivering a movie that’s more energetic than it has any right to be. It’s a goofy, crowd-pleasing blend of alien-tech spectacle and buddy-comedy chaos, where the laughs come fast and the action keeps things moving with an infectious, fanboy-friendly swagger. The tone is bright, silly, and proudly unpretentious, with visual effects that punch above their weight and a sense of momentum that makes it easy to just have fun.
