A Few Less Men (2017)

A Few Less Men is the kind of scrappy, good-natured comedy that doesn’t ask for your admiration so much as your willingness to laugh along when everything goes sideways. It throws three blokes into a travel-day-from-hell and keeps the energy up with a breezy, chaotic vibe—more “hangout misadventure” than carefully engineered farce—so the fun comes from watching them scramble, bicker, and improvise their way through the mess. The movie’s charms are simple but real: it’s harmless, it moves quickly, and when it lands a gag, it lands it cleanly. It’s not for everyone—especially if you want sharp satire or pristine plotting—but if you’re on the fence and just want an easy, occasionally laugh-out-loud ride, this one can do the job.

A Few Less Men is clearly trying to deliver another chaotic, mates-on-the-run farce with escalating mishaps and a ticking clock to get Luke home. The problem is it plays like a rerun: the jokes feel recycled, the set pieces go through the motions, and the plot is so predictable you can practically see the next “disaster” being scheduled. If you loved the first film and just want more of the same energy with a few scattered chuckles, you might coast along, but if you’re looking for sharp writing or anything remotely fresh, this will likely feel lazy and redundant. It’s a time-filler comedy at best, and a frustrating step down if you’re expecting a worthy follow-up.
