Mine is clearly aiming for a stripped-down, single-character survival thriller that mixes desert danger with psychological breakdown, and Armie Hammer does commit to the physical misery. The problem is the movie often mistakes endurance for tension: it can feel repetitive, oddly paced, and more exhausting than suspenseful, with writing that doesn’t always know whether it wants to be a war film, a hallucination drama, or a twisty thriller. If you’re expecting constant cat-and-mouse action or sharp, escalating stakes, this may leave you checking the time. But if you’re okay with a minimal setup, harsh atmosphere, and a performance-driven ordeal that leans into mood over momentum, it has enough grit to be worth a look.
