But be warned, the film can feel like it’s carrying two heavy movies at once, and the political canvas sometimes swallows the family drama, leaving the emotional punches less sharp than they should be. If you want a tight, cathartic crime drama with clean momentum, this may frustrate you; if you’re open to a long, intense, occasionally uneven descent into grief and rage, it’s still worth your time.
