Bad Kids of Crestview Academy (2017)

It's four years later, and a new group of students has been placed in Saturday detention at the infamous and prestigious Crestview Academy. When Siouxsie, sophomore 'undercrust,' crashes the party to avenge her sister's death, a Saturday detention reserved for the privileged seniors of Crestview Academy turns into a date in hell. It's not long before a naïve pussycat lover, gay drug dealer, smokin' hot preacher's daughter, squeaky-clean senator's son, and the uninvited younger outsider find themselves locked-up in school with no way out, wondering who (or what) has set them up. Hilarity and suspense ensue while each 'bad kid' pits one against the other, and one by one each falls victim to absurdly gruesome 'accidents' while trying to escape.

Explained

What people think about Bad Kids of Crestview Academy

Bad Kids of Crestview Academy is the kind of scrappy, pleasantly unhinged genre cocktail that sneaks up on you: a detention-room bottle movie that keeps tightening the screws until the laughs start coming from the same place as the gasps. It has a wicked, darkly comic vibe—part teen satire, part mystery-box thriller—where the characters’ masks crack just enough to make their clashes funny, messy, and weirdly satisfying, helped along by performances that commit to the madness instead of winking at it. The script moves with surprising snap, turning a familiar high-school setup into a claustrophobic, sci‑fi-tinged nightmare ride that’s more clever than it has to be. If you don’t enjoy mean-spirited humor or absurdly gruesome “accidents,” it may not be your flavor, but if you like your laughs served with suspense and a little bite, this is an easy, entertaining watch.
