Torrente 5: Operation Eurovegas is special because it treats its own bad taste like a weapon, aiming it squarely at a Spain that’s lurched into a new era—slicker, stranger, and ripe for ridicule. Santiago Segura’s shameless antihero barrels through a sunburnt, neon-lit heist setup with the confidence of a man who’s never met a boundary he wouldn’t cross, and the movie’s best laughs come from how brazenly it skewers ambition, corruption, and the fantasy of easy money. The vibe is loud, crude, and proudly cartoonish, but there’s a sharper edge underneath that gives the chaos a satirical bite. It’s absolutely not for everyone—if profanities, nudity, and intentionally offensive jokes are dealbreakers, steer clear—but if you can stomach the filth, you may be surprised by how entertainingly it turns that ugliness into a mirror.

Torrente 5 is trying to mash up a future-tinged “Spain has changed” premise with a big, dumb Eurovegas heist, basically turning Torrente into a bargain-bin Ocean’s Eleven ringleader. The problem is the plot runs on rails, the jokes often feel recycled or simply loud rather than clever, and the gross-out, bad-taste humor (plus nudity and nonstop profanity) is more the point than the punchline. If you’re not already a fan of the Torrente brand of shamelessness, this will likely come off as predictable and strangely joyless for a comedy. The main redeeming quality is that it still has a few moments of chaotic energy and cameo-style fun, but it’s mostly for diehards who want more Torrente, not for anyone hoping the series suddenly levels up.
