Maan Karate is trying to be a breezy, high-concept rom-com where a goofy underdog gets pushed into boxing thanks to a “future newspaper” gimmick, and it clearly wants you to ride on Sivakarthikeyan’s charm more than the plot. The problem is the writing leans hard on convenience and hero-worship, so if you need logic, character depth, or a story that earns its turns, you’ll spend a lot of time rolling your eyes—especially once the second half starts wobbling.
