Yes, you can sense where it’s headed—and that’s part of the comfort—because the movie leans into the gentle pleasure of a familiar love story told with sincerity and postcard-worthy atmosphere. If you’re craving surprises or sharp-edged comedy, this may feel too soft, but if you want something soothing, romantic, and quietly uplifting, it lands beautifully.

Love Is in the Air is aiming for a breezy, sun-soaked rom-com with a big heart, mixing small-town community spirit with a corporate-vs-dreams love story. The problem is it plays like a checklist of familiar beats, with little surprise in the writing and a tone so sugary it can start to feel more like a commercial than a movie. Delta Goodrem and Joshua Sasse are pleasant company and the Queensland setting does a lot of the heavy lifting, but the execution is too thin to make the emotions land if you’re not already in the mood for something very safe.
