Explained

What people think about The Pyramid

The Pyramid is the kind of shameless, pulpy creature-feature that knows exactly what it’s selling: a forbidden dig, a claustrophobic descent, and the deliciously B-movie thrill of something ancient and hungry prowling the dark. Director Grégory Levasseur leans into the “cheesebucket” fun with a straight-faced archaeological setup that quickly turns into a scrappy survival ride, where tight corridors and collapsing chambers do as much work as the monsters. It’s nasty in places and proudly R-rated, but the film’s best charm is its commitment to old-school, myth-tinged horror—right down to the eerie, off-kilter menace of feral, mutated cats. If you want subtle scares or prestige polish, look elsewhere; if you’re in the mood for brisk, campy underground mayhem with a killer premise, this one hits the spot.
