Sean King O’Grady keeps the tension ratcheted tight, letting the mystery and the rules of this place reveal themselves in sharp, purposeful strokes, while Lil Rel Howery gives a surprisingly grounded, human performance that makes the ordeal sting rather than merely shock. The vibe is grim, satirical, and claustrophobic even under open sky, with smart symbolism about labor, quotas, and corporate cruelty that lingers after the credits. It is also harsh—graphic violence, relentless profanity, and sustained psychological pressure—so it won’t be for everyone, but if you like your genre thrills pointed as well as pulse-pounding, this one delivers.

The problem is it’s basically one idea stretched across one setting, and the satire doesn’t deepen much beyond “work will grind you down,” so the tension can start feeling repetitive instead of escalating. If you need clever twists, a steadily expanding mystery, or a big payoff that justifies the suffering, this may try your patience more than it rewards it, especially with the heavy language and bursts of nasty violence.
