Explained

What people think about Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead

Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead feels like a zombie movie hotwired in a garage and then driven flat-out through the Australian outback—loud, fast, and gleefully inventive in the way it turns survival into madcap engineering. It’s got real momentum, the kind that keeps you leaning forward as the action escalates, while the gore lands with a splattery, practical punch that’s more “cheer at the audacity” than “wince and look away” (unless you’re squeamish). Beneath the mayhem, the film’s scrappy charm comes from how confidently it embraces its B-movie soul and still finds room for a tense, propulsive rescue vibe. It is rough around the edges and unapologetically ultra-violent, so if you want solemn prestige horror, look elsewhere—but if you’re craving a funny, ferocious, fuel-injected spin on the undead, this one delivers.
