The Ridiculous 6 (2015)

What makes The Ridiculous 6 oddly watchable is its commitment to being a sunbaked, anything-goes Western cartoon, the kind that treats the Old West like a playground for broad gags and bigger personalities. Adam Sandler and a game supporting cast bounce from saloons to deserts to dusty outposts with an easy, sketch-comedy looseness, and when the film pauses to let the landscapes breathe, the scenery really does lend it a surprisingly handsome, postcard feel. The vibe is juvenile and rowdy—more late-night hangout comedy than sharp satire—so if you’re allergic to crude jokes or put off by mean-spirited humor, it may not be your ride. But if you’re on the fence and want a low-stakes, goofy adventure with a few genuinely fun character beats and a wide-open Western backdrop, it can scratch that itch.

The Ridiculous 6 is trying to be a broad, goofy Western parody with a “found family” adventure vibe and a bunch of Sandler-and-friends sketch comedy stitched into a rescue quest.
