Isn’t It Romantic is a rom-com that knows exactly what it’s doing: it lovingly pokes fun at the genre’s glossy “rules” while still delivering the warm, fizzy comfort that makes people watch these movies in the first place. Rebel Wilson is terrific as Natalie, grounding the fantasy with sharp timing and surprisingly heartfelt bite, and the film has a bright, candy-colored New York vibe where reality keeps getting nudged into musical, meet-cute absurdity. It’s breezy, self-aware, and genuinely sweet beneath the satire, especially as it turns its jokes into something more affirming than cynical.
