The film’s tone is urgent and sober, moving with the adrenaline of frontline reporting while never losing its honest attention to the quieter damage carried home. It’s not an easy watch, and it isn’t meant to be, but if you believe stories matter—and that bearing witness is its own kind of courage—this one stays with you.

The problem is the storytelling can feel choppy: time jumps and a relentless pace keep you at arm’s length, and the script sometimes lands with an awkward, on-the-nose thud rather than a gut punch. It also circles the same beats often enough that you may finish feeling you’ve watched a powerful performance more than you’ve learned something new about her inner life. If you want a clean, deeply immersive character study, this might frustrate you, but if you can tolerate a disjointed structure for strong acting and grim, urgent atmosphere, it’s worth a look.
