But it’s also a long film with busy pacing, frequent detours, and song sequences that can feel like padding, and the attempt to blend intimate character work with heavy political symbolism doesn’t always land cleanly. If you want a tight, purely sports-driven biopic, this may test your patience; if you’re up for an expansive, melodramatic Bollywood-style epic with some powerful moments, it’s worth the time.
