Explained

What people think about Saving Santa

Saving Santa has that cozy, twinkly holiday charm that sneaks up on you, then wins you over with an underdog hero you can’t help rooting for: Bernard, a nervous stable elf voiced with wonderfully human warmth by Martin Freeman. The movie zips along with playful time-travel energy, colorful North Pole spectacle, and a gently silly sense of humor (yes, including some potty jokes), while still keeping its heart in the right place—about courage, self-belief, and protecting the magic we remember from childhood. Tim Curry clearly relishes the villainy, and the voice cast gives the whole adventure a buoyant, storybook feel that makes it easy to watch as a family. It’s not aiming for Pixar-level depth, but if you want a pleasant, warm-hearted Christmas cartoon with momentum, laughs, and a sincere glow, this one earns a spot on the seasonal rotation.
