Self/less (2015)

Self/less takes a deliciously pulpy sci-fi idea—buying a second life in a new body—and treats it like a slick, paranoid thriller where every “fresh start” comes with a shadow attached. Tarsem Singh gives the film a cool, high-end sheen, while Ben Kingsley and Ryan Reynolds make the identity tug-of-war feel human instead of gimmicky, letting the action hit harder because there’s something at stake beyond survival. The vibe is part conspiracy, part chase movie, with bursts of violence and urgency that keep the questions coming even as the plot barrels forward.
