The visuals and effects sell the otherworldly threat with crisp, unsettling clarity, while James Badge Dale and Emily Mortimer anchor the mayhem with grounded urgency that keeps it from feeling like empty spectacle. It’s not for viewers looking for deep character drama or a bloodless ride—this one gets grim and violent—but if you want a clean, entertaining mash-up of military action and science-driven suspense, it’s a highly watchable jolt.
