Sx_Tape is the kind of found-footage horror that actually uses its format for more than shaky chaos, turning an abandoned hospital into a grim, seductive maze where every corridor feels like it’s listening. It starts with a charged, reckless intimacy and then lets the mood curdle into something oppressive and uncanny, with imagery that’s surprisingly composed for a “raw” recording and an atmosphere that tightens like a noose. Caitlyn Folley anchors the spiral with a performance that feels lived-in and vulnerable, selling the psychology as much as the scares. If you’re allergic to found-footage tropes or want clean, conventional horror beats, it may not convert you—but if you like your nightmares twisted, intimate, and lingering, this one is an underrated jolt.

Sx_Tape is clearly aiming for a sweaty, taboo found-footage descent where sex, power games, and a haunted location collide into something nasty and supernatural. The problem is it mostly plays like a thin excuse to keep the camera rolling on abrasive, hard-to-root-for characters while the “possession” angle drifts in too late and too vaguely to feel scary. If you’re hoping the provocative premise leads to sharp tension or clever mythology, you’ll likely find it repetitive, low on genuine scares, and oddly directionless. The one redeeming quality is the grimy abandoned-hospital setting, which has occasional atmosphere, but it’s not enough to justify the slog unless you’re a completist for found-footage oddities.
